Eastside Elementary extends its gratitude to RN Justin Marchant and Cody Regional
Health for delivering an engaging, real-world learning experience focused on the human heart.
Through this interactive session, students gained exposure to multiple career pathways in
cardiology while also practicing essential lifesaving skills such as CPR.
As part of the experience, students deepened their understanding of the cardiovascular system
and then applied their learning by constructing experimental models that demonstrated how the
heart pumps blood. This hands-on activity provided a powerful connection between classroom
learning and real-world application.
At Eastside Elementary and throughout Park County School District 6, our mission is to prepare
graduates to chart their own course through learning experiences that equip them with the
knowledge, skills, and resilience to discover their unique path to success. Partnerships like the
one with Cody Regional Health continue to strengthen this mission by bringing authentic, career-
connected learning directly to our students.
